Business
owner mistook me for someone else on the phone, and was extremely rude,
violent, unprofessional and inappropriate.
I called Beach Buffers to make an appointment for a car detail. I spoke
with owner, Ken LaPoint. Initially he was accommodating and
professional. I requested a car detail the following day. He said he
would be able to do it. I told him I used his services in the past, and
was a returning customer. He asked what kind of car, and how much he
charged me. I told him and he said he was trying to remember me. Then
he said, "you haven't been here in ages" (like it was a crime, and he
was really offended).
I replied, "Yes, it's been a while, because I had
some hardships with work, and I was not able to afford getting my car
detailed." His tone of voice, and attitude changed, and he became very
aggravated! He said, "No, I won't do your car, I told you last time not
to come back"! I was taken by surprise, and in shock! My feelings were
hurt, and I tried to explain I was never told not to return to the
business. He became increasing violent, even yelling and saying, "I
remember who you are, you're real picky."Honestly, I think anyone
paying $200 for a car detail is going to be 'picky'! I said, "I'm
sorry, but I think you have me mistaken with someone else." However, he
was not cooling down. He continued on a rampage repeating the above
information. I said "Oh, Ok, thank you" and hung up!
