First, I loved hallmark and never had any problems. Im a gold card member and had bought many items before they were lost b/c of ike. Ive been too a few hallmark stores with no problems but this is rediculous.

Today, I went to hallmark to find last minute keepsakes. After looking at the 'hotdog' display i found a cute peppermint hotdog that I was planning to buy...till I saw a Phantom of the Opera and a cats water music box.

It was perfect for my friend who was allowing me stay at her house.

It was also beautiful, but I couldnt see the price and didnt know what song it played so I went to find an employee.

I was SO excited that when I saw the lady I asked her 'can I see that?"

"Its expensive." she said right away.

*Well, laa dee freaken dah! you think?*

"I just want to know what song it plays."

She sighs in frustration and says she needs to get the key.

I noticed she was a *cranky* old lady and I figured me being there wasnt helping. So what?

I waited 10 minutes and went to find her. She was chatting with another coworker*another oldlady*

"Can I see the music box?" I figured she forgotten but they both glared at me and blew me off.

"some people need to go away when were busy." the white haired lady said and turned her attention to another customer who was a blond white hair lady. She was more nicer to her then me but she was and I'm a brunette.

I found employee lady and said 'hi, excuse me.."

She walks off, apparantly another white old lady. I saw the writing on the wall but at a store that I never had a problem with? BULLcr@P

Wait...I go to another by 2311 LOCKHILL-SELMA RD. I go home, vent and find another store and go. These things happened right, I figured. Theyre just cranky ladies who are old and husbands are cheating on them with younger woman. Could be, then again their husbands could be beating them but thats no excuse. Whatever.

I'm at the store and I'm planning to buy and actually had a few items in my hands. I felt I was being watched and i saw that the manager was following me around, arms crossed glareing at me, she was also white. Now Im not dressed inappropriately or nothing but being as 'dark then a brown paper bag' in my earlly 30's.

"you about done?" She said in a rude tone.

I dumped my purchase on the counter and left the store. 'I dont need this.'

Okay, I dont know why you hire people who judge you quickly when I'm willing to spend money.

Maybe you are unaware of it or dont give a d*mn but h*ll this is bull.

I figured the only thing I did wrong to offend her was my presence*skin color*

I'm here in SA, since I evacuated b/c of ike, my house is gone.

Im staying with family, with basically what I have on my back and could fit in my car.

All I wanted to do was by a few d*mn keepsakes, especially a beautiful Phantom of the opera music box for a gift that cost a freaken $58. I still dont know what it plays, masqurade or music of the night and I honestly dont need this from such RUDE racist employees.

Your establishments are giving you a d*mn bad name.

You lost a customer. You can take your keepsakes and shove it. If youre gonna let people treat your customers this way, then its a TOTAL ripoff.

Heres to you.
