Why not try to get the fathers of your children to help?

1) Please lose the CAPS...doesn't impress anyone. 2) You purchased a used car. Used cars often have problems. Breaks are a normal maintaince item. Also, who inspected the transmission-could be just an adjustment is required and not a total R & R. Did you have the car inspected first by a mechanic or someone you trust before you bought it? I'm betting not. 3) Car payments too high, will have to file bankruptcy. Well the problems with the car don't affect the payment you obligated yourself to when you signed the note. "If the payment is too high, do not buy" is a good rule of thumb. I do sympathize with your problems, but I don't see a ripoff here. JMHO Banker John
