Since AT&T took bellsouth back over, they have become a huge monopoly again and they take advantage of consumers who are paying for services they don't receive.

If your fast access internet is turned off (many of us know how this can happen with such a messy economy) for non payment, when you make your payment they make you wait at least 3 days before turning it back on. Those are 3 days you are paying for the use of the internet. They charge reconnect fees and late fees; holding back services is stealing! They don't usually have the decency to tell you that you are gonna wait 3 days; they let you keep calling and calling to try to get it turned back on.

There are no local live people to deal with and using at&t's phone service to get something done is a nightmare. There are separate depts for everything! You cannot take care of 2 or 3 issues with one call, you must call or get transferred for each separate issue with AT&T. You will then wait 15 minutes minimum to speak to a customer service rep! I will say this: at least they hire polite reps who believe they are helping.

I don't know who could regulate this but at least people ought to know how AT&t bullies its customers.
