We have been unsuccessful in trying to collect a $50 (BenQ 17" LCD monitor # FP731) & $20 (BenQ 15" LCD monitor # FP531)rebate on monitors purchased in February, 2005 thru Tiger Direct.
On March 1st & 4th of 2005, respectively, all required documentation was mailed to:
Dept. #57790
FP731 17" LCD Monitor $50 Rebate
PO Box 134
Niagra Falls, NY 14302-0134
and
Dept. #57791
FP531 15" LCD Monitor $20 Rebate
PO Box 134
Niagra Falls, NY 14302-0134
The bottom of each rebate form contains the following instructions: "For information regarding the status of your claim, visit www.rebatestatus.com or call (866) 206-6214.
After never receiving the rebates, I went to the website on May 23, 2005, which claimed "We have received your submission and it is being processed."
After waiting a few weeks and not receiving any checks, I called the toll free number. A representative told me checks had been mailed on June 17, 2005
We never received any checks. I went to the website again, only this time it said "no information can be found" when I tried to check the status of the rebates. I called the toll free number got a recording instructing people to call BenQ at 866-700-2367. When I called BenQ, I got a recording instruction me to call rebatesstatus.com at (866) 206-6214.
I called BenQ again and selected a different option from the menu, since selecting the "rebate" option put you thru to the recording. I left messages on their voice mail on both August 23 & 24 of 2005. Nobody ever called me back.
On August 25th, 2005, I called the main number for BenQ. I explained the situation to the operator, who put me thru to a Mr. Junkao. He told me to fax all the documentation to Amanda Bowen at 949-623-0760. I never heard from Ms. Bowen and we never received any checks.
On February 14, 2006, I spoke with Jillian at BenQ. She told me to fax all the documentation to her at 651-762-9717 and she would "expedite" it. I never received a response and we never received any checks.
I called her again on March 2,2006 and told her I was running out of patience and was ready to contact the Attorney General's Office. She told me her manager, Cherrie, would be contacting me. It is now March 3rd, and I still haven't had any response.
