I could have written your rip-off report myself, word for word. I had exactly the same experience with Haldanes office in Overland Park, Kansas, a suburb of Kansas City. Quick response to my initial inquiry, building up the great job they could do for me and a $5195.00 fee. Once they had my money I found out to my dismay that I had to do ALL the work. These people are the biggest rip-off artists I have ever come across and its amazing that the government has not shut them down yet. I believe it will be up to the defrauded consumer to act in order to stop this company and their nefarious practices. File a complaint with your state attorney generals office (they are already being investigated in several states), contact the consumer fraud department at your local police, contact the consumer fraud department at your local newspapers, picket their properties in a legal and orderly manner and produce flyers explaining their scam which you can blanket your city with. Lots of company's are laying off now, here in Kansas City and around the country. The suggestions I've posted above can't help but hurt their business immensely. This may require a little time and effort on your part but does anyone feel it would not be worth it to shut these people down. Fighting mad in Kansas City
