BEST  BUY -DOES not back the products they sell-and hard sell and push an expensive warranty, -even though by law there is an implied warranty in anything sold in the state of Maryland, that an item must work and last a reasonable amount of time. Best Buy has more consumer complaints than anyone in the industry.BIG RIPP OFF----THE EMPLOYEES ARE SO ASHAMED BY POLICY they wont even give out there name-

All Best Buy employees are INSTRUCTED to OFFER service plans. (They do not sell any extended warranties). As a matter of fact..when you go to the register to pay for any item that has a service plan available...it is prompted on the register screen which plans are available.

This is done because if a product goes bad after the manufacturers warranty expires..the customers may claim they were never offered a service plan.

I do not know what you mean with the statement "there is an implied warranty in anything sold in the state of Maryland"...as any new retail consumer electronics sold in ANY state has a warranty..not only "implied..but "applied". Most electronics manufacturers offer a one years warranty, some may be as little as 90 days..but there is always some warranty. I hope any consumer with the brain at least the size of a bird or reptile..would find out the warranty on any new purchase if they are so concerned.

Now the next false statement..."Best Buy has more consumer complaints than anyone in the industry"..care to back that up with ANY documentation or proof? Sure, they have complaints...they were owned and formed by the same people back in 1966..and have over 1,150 locations. Can any business please everyone? Do the math. Figure how many customer a DAY a retailer that has over 1,000 locations deal with..and then document the number of complaints and figure out the percentage over time after 45 years in business.

Now..will you share any details of this experience?..or just whine like a little girl with no basis or backup?
