Joe Johnson is Unbelievable!
My wife hired this company (Joe Johnson) shortly after we moved in to restore our guest bathroom back to its original color of White. Not only did he fail to meet several appointments when the job was finally completed (in their eyes only), the work displayed poor workmanship. He promised to come back and repair to our satisfaction. Never happened,
The tub shows bubbles that need to be sanded out and repainted again, yet Joe Johnson won't come back to make the deal good. He keeps changing his company name and telephone number. They just took our money and ran. Never should have used this guy. Lots of bad reports on his various "companies"with the Better Business Bureau. Go check them out yourself. What a piece of work
Bottom line, thios guy is bad news.

My company used Joe Johnson for several years to reglaze tubs in our apartment buildings. (There are several names he goes by and works in both the Cleveland OH area and Detroit MI).
Joe use to come in and reglaze a tub and do a fairly decent job back in 2010-2012. I didnt use him from 2012-2014 as he was not around or not in the area (I think he change the phone number back then and I didnt have a contact ##).
Joe guaranteed the work for 6 years and gave an instruction sheet for the care of the tubs. He use to charge $199, but has increased it to $249 per tub. He is often in Detroit during the week and in Cleveland at the end of one week and the beginning of the next (Friday and Monday)..
Since December 2014, Joe has done 9 tubs in one complex and 1 in another. Since January we have 2 tubs he reglazed peel. The biggest thing we noticed is that he tends to do the tubs in less than 2 hours. One time he did 4 tubs in about 4 hours! Most tub refinishers have to sand and nor or strip a bit and it takes longer. He is not sanding the tubs. When he did have to sand or strip in the past, he charged $295 some years back.
A month or so ago i had to get a tub done in a hurry for a violatiion inspection. I called Joe to do the job, but also told him I had another tub he did that had peeled. He came to do the new tub, collected his money (as always he wants to be paid upon completion of the work) and told me he would be back to do the other tub. He also mentioned that if the tenant uses a suction matt, he will not cover the cost to repair. In the following week, another tub he had done had peeled. I have called him a dozen times and left several messages. He has not returned our calls or come back to fix the problems. I think he is too busy in Detroit and he is not going to fix tubs he already got paid for doing.
My fear is, that most of the tubs done this past year were done in such a hurry and were done sloppy and i think they are also going to continue peeling. He has gotten sloppy and does not seem to care very much about his reputation. So I am not going to be using or recommending him. If he does not fix my tubs, I will take him to small claims. If he makes good, I will update this report. He got a bit greedy and sloopy...

this information that was submitted by a competitor of joe johnson is totally inacurate false and not true also i might add that this competitor of joe johnson who we will not mention by name will be the subject of a lawsuit for defamation of character |
