Best Time Movers Shady business practices Rockville Maryland
I used Best Time Movers this past weekend for a 2 bedroom move, and am very disappointed with the unprofessional way the move happened. The move lasted 3 hours longer than our "generous" time estimate, despite my hard work assisting the movers with the heavy lifting (I'm a 120 lb woman!). Furthermore, this company charged me more than double the amount of the original quote. That is simply poor business planning and forecasting, with the consequences negatively impacting the customer. As the customer, I was totally packed and ready for the movers. They worked slowly (compared to a similar two bedroom move I coordinated one year ago), admitted that they are encouraged to work slowly to charge more hours, overused packing blankets and tape, which I was later charged hundreds of dollars for, and at the end of the day asked me to tip them, because their $8/hour wage was too little for all the hard work they put into the move.
I am disgusted with the shady business practice of this company, and will formally report them to the BBB.
