Ordered camera for my wife for mother's day a Sony Alpha NEX-5N Digital Camera with 18-55mm Lens (Black) on Monday May 13th. I selected three day shipping (for $21 additional), after a week went by I sent an email to their customer service address to credit me for the shipping.
My wife's phone number was the contact number. They called back, and told her there was a problem with our billing and ship to address, and we would receive the camera in a few days as it was backordered.
At that time they attempted to sell my wife memory cards and batteries for the camera at ridiculous prices. A 32GB memory card was being offered at over $100, when they are available on amazon.com for less than $30. They told her it was a special deal to accomodate our patience. We did not buy anything
I called them back today 6/17/13 and spoke to their customer service rep. He again told me the camera was backordered to the 25th. I told him to cancel my order, which he said he would get his manager to do that. Fortunately my card had not been charged, so there will be no long return process. I bought the camera from crutchfield.com today (with free delivery June 19th), and while the price was a bit higher, at lease I know I am dealing with a legitimate business.
No recommendation of bestpricephoto.com for me. This has to be the most poorly run website. I am waiting to be contacted by my credit card company to report fraud for some spending spree that will most likley occur after giving them my credit card information.
