First, go through all of your old documents and paperwork. You might just suprise yourself and come up with a receipt. Otherwise, check out the gym. Are any of the employees people who worked there BEFORE the gym changed hands? They could be valuable witnesses to your case. Does your membershp card have an expiration date on it? Aside from the receipt, you probably had a contract. Look for it. Also, go to the club and demand to speak to the general manager. Do not give up until you get this person IN PERSON. Ask them to look through the PAPER records from Beyond Fitness. If they try to tell you they have none, ask them what they do to verify memeberships if the computer system is down. Be pleasant but firm at all times. It will probably help you if you can remember the approximate date you paid for the membership and even better if you can remember who you dealt with at the gym. Also, ask around among your friends, neighbors and coworkers. Is anyone else having a problem with their membership since the company change? Were they able to solve the problem? If so, how did they get it resolved? You probably weren't the only customer affected when the company changed hands. Find out what happened to the other memebers. They may be able to help you. I hope you get this resolved. In the future, I would pay by check or by debit card instead of cash. That way your bank would have a record of the transaction if you were to lose your receipt. I almost never use cash for this reason.

Well, the problem is that I've been a member for a little over 3yrs. And I just didn't think to hold on my receipt for that lenght of time. I can admitt that I should have keep it. But Beyond has no record of me even being a member, as a matter of fact they now have me listed as someone totaly different. That's how I knew there was a problem. I got my card swiped and it came up with a womans name. I've called the customer service line, no answers, the billing line no record of me even being a member. I at a lost plain and simple. But its all good, when you treat people dirty the dirt always get slung back at you, but with rocks in it.

Where's the receipt? It always pays to get a receipt from ANYONE you do business with stating what was paid and what it was paid for.
