Bible Baptist Temple Solicitaion of minors Saint Joseph Missouri
These people came to my door offering to let my children join this Baptist temple. I thought this would be an okay place until I found out that my children and other children were getting Bribed to gather more children to join. My children were Bribed with $20.00 if they would bring 5 more children. My daughter went threw gathering these children and they never gave her anything.
I did not think in the first place that this was the way church should be.
It is against the law to solicit to a minor no matter what or who it is. Also my children have been frequently bullied by other children within this churches care. My children and other children have complained to the officials of this establishment. And were told that it was "Normal" after that my children's attempts to be protected from the harm of others within this establishment were ignored and the abuse continued. All my kids are complaining about how they do not like this place. They are offered candy, cookies, toys and money to bring more and more children into this church. And not one has been given what was offered to them if they did. For one. It is not right to Manipulate children with something they cannot resist. Just to gain more and more masses of people in your church.
I am very very very disappointed in this establishment. As a community partner you should not be bribing any children with anything just to gain more in numbers.
This is why the world is starting to deny religion. Your absolute desperation to keep up your number of believers. Is a show of cowardice and disrespect toward innocent children whom are easily influenced. You are Utilizing these children Gullibility with out the respect of the law. And the respect of them as people.
I truly cannot trust these people to be in the care of my 4 children or in the care of their friends and the other children in this neighborhood. I will spread this word as a warning to not allow the children of Brittany Village apartments to attend your church anymore.
You do not deserve the presence of them. They are a blessing on this earth and you have treated them like a profit.
How dare you. As adults you should know better. And I truly hope that Better Business Bureau and Ripoff report.com make this well known and put an end to this irresponsible manner of using God for personal gain. I hope you learn your lesson. You should never deny children food because their parents are not there either. You left my children and many others to go hungry until 9:30PM. You never mentioned to me or the other parents that they would not be given food since we wouldn't be there. I was relieved they came home. You make me sick.

I find the ripoff report about Bible Baptist Temple hard, no, impossible to believe. I worked there many years ago and have maintained contact with priciple leaders in the church. Most likely this report comes from believing everything your children tell you. If you believe everything your children tell you about me, then I have the right to believe everything they tell me about you. You can not imagine all that I have heard about parents who send their children to church, without taking them. According to the children they are drug users, thiefs, prisoners, deadbeats, etc. Sometimes it is true, other times investigation shows a misunderstanding or an out and out fabrication. Not only do children do this, but so do adults. If you have a valid complaint.... start with the church. I know several of the leaders and I know that they will take your complaint seriously. But be ready to be scrutinized with the same scruitiny that you give them... after all, their children told them about you too.

Bible Baptist Temple is a great church. They have a heart for the community of St. Joseph. In addition to the children's program you are referring to, they have an addictions recovery program and an impressive jail ministry.
Offering incentives is nothing new, and is definately not "a show of cowardice and disrespect."
My parents would let me watch TV, eat dessert, have a friend over, or stay up later if I did good things like finish my homework, get a good report card, complete my chores. Is this cowardice on my parents' part or using rewards to teach me to obey them?
When I was little and in Sunday School, I might get a sticker or a piece of candy for remembering to bring my Bible, recite my memory verse, sit quietly in church or inviting a friend. Is this disrespect or teaching me how to behave in church?
There is no solicitation of minors at Bible Baptist Temple. They are not being asked to buy anything. They are being invited to church to be cared for my some of the most loving people in the world who just want to show them that God loves them. And they are encouraged (and sometimes rewarded) to invite their parents, family, and friends to church as well.
Yes, sometimes kids are rowdy. No different that at school, the playground, or anything. But that doesn't mean this church is intentionally putting children in danger.
When you think of what this church is actually doing - teach kids about God, how can you say these things? Bus workers and Sunday School teachers, all volunteers, take time out of their schedules to visit or write to their assigned children. Four busses full of volunteers come to church before the sun is up to check the busses and make sure they are ready to give your children a safe ride to church. They are taught about the Bible and God while having a fun time.
This church has been a blessing to me and my family. I appreciate the care that is given in screening volunteers, doing background checks, and the training that is given to their volunteers. This church truly has a heart for St. Joseph and a desire to serve God. Pastor Bill Marshall is an honest pastor. Both in his messages from God's word and his openness of the affairs of the goings of the church itself.
St. Joseph is blessed to have a church like this in our community and, God willing, this church will move forward showing God's love.
I hope you will come see for yourself what is going on at Bible Baptist Temple. These folks are doing church the way it should be. It's not a rock concert and light show with a short feel-good message, they have God-honoring music and teach directly from the Bible. I would encourage you to come visit Bible Baptist Temple and bring your family and neighbors with you!

JUST BECAUSE A PLACE CLAIMS TO BE A CHRISTIAN OR BAPTIST TEMPLE DOES NOT MEAN THAT IT IS.
I HOPE YOU ARE GOING ALONG TO WATCH OUT FOR THEM AND SUPERVISE THEIR ACTIVITIES.
SOME OF THE MASS MURDERERS HAVE PRETENDED TO BE HOLY PEOPLE AND SOME OF THE MOST BRAZEN CHILD MOLESTERS, YOU WOULD NEVER GUESS BECAUSE THEY CLAIMED TO BE SO UPRIGHT, GOD-FEARING PEOPLE --MEN AND WOMEN TOO.
NOWADAYS, YOU SHOULD NOT TRUST ANYONE ELSE WITH YOUR CHILDREN!
IF YOU DO NOT LIKE THIS CHURCH AND THE THINGS IT DOES --WHICH IS NORMAL FOR A CHARISMATIC, PROSPERITY PREACHING, WALLET REACHING PLACE -- THEN FIND A PLACE WHERE YOU AND YOUR FAMILY CAN ALL WORSHIP TOGETHER AND ALL FELL WELCOME.
