On or around 12/1/03 I gave a down payment to Big Mac homes in hopes of getting a new home. the form I signed said that I would forft the down payment to recover cost of orderng a home. well I was buying a lot model so no home was ordered. Chris sad its just a form that dont protain to me I would only loose the actual cost if any during the process. well the only cost involved was land clearing of a piece of property and earnest $ to secure the land.

these charges totaled $600. When I got a good faith letter from the mortgage company it said the amount financed was over 1000,000 for a simple 58,000 home with 18,000 land. Big mac increased these charges outrageously and had my payment at 832 a month. This was not anything like we agreed on. I was pressured By Chris to close on this deal and try and re-finance. I know that I couldnt afford such note so therefor I was not able to obtain financing in my means.

I called Chris and he ask me are we on or off. I said off. and wanted to know when I could get my down payment back, after hours of waiting I called him and he came up with some upserd excuse that I really need to be paying them more money from charged they incured.

He began to tell me that there was a 900 loan origination fee, a intrest charged for the home sitting on the lot for 3 months. (this home has been there for a year) multiple other charges.including 800 appraisel fee that the mortgage company said they never ordered and at the most should be 400. needless to say these people will not even give me the money I am intitled to . The unethical practices caused this deal to go bad by increasing the profit charges in 3 different areas. They have told me that he wouldnt do any sale with out making a large profit.

if I have to pay for an appraisel then my money that is due to me would be 1,250.00. This company just can't find charges to make up and charge coustomers that decide they can not afford the terms.

Desired Settlement: Refund

Settlement Explanation:

I want a refund of my downpayment of at least 1,250.00 and the original appraisal that I paid 800.00 for. I want all reciepts of charges that I am paying for. Includes rcpts for all land clearing and appraisal.I also want all my personal files .

Please please do not try and work a deal out with this company. You will loose every inning of their game.

new charges by these jerks

These jerks sent fax with this info: $3000.00 down paymnet $250.00 earnest money for land $600.00 for bush hogging $200.00 septic inspection $200.00 loan app to finance company $919.00 interest payments on home $300.00 for gas/travel expenses to property $800.00 for appraisal $20.00 permits to move home $125.00 title search =$3364.00 total spent thus far. I am sure we will be receiving other bills we have not thought of. Please make a check payable to Big Mac homes for $364.00 Now everyone keep in mind that I simply changed mobile home companies, and currently using the same title company whom said no such charges, mortgage company said no such charges, and know for a fact that there isn't an $800.00 appraisal. Another thing is that my property is 10 minutes from theit location. wow wish I could make that much on travel expenses. Also the land was not paid for and no work could legally been done on that site. Attorney General's office has the case and hopefully some action will be taken!! Good news is that I got twice the home at less the cost. also with out the 14,000 markup these fools were trying to get me to pay in my loan!
