I had the same thing happen except that we didn't find this scam in time and sent the Moneygram to Terry Smith in Atlanta, GA. The seller on Ebay was Nathan Smith, passing himself off as in the Navy and leaving for duty a few days after I contacted him about his auction. I've already filed a report on here with full details, and its become apparent that I'm not the only one. I've also filed a claim with Ebay but won't hear anything back from them for about a week. I'm not sure where else to go, I was thinking about the Feds, but someone else on here said they weren't very helpful. Wondering if Moneygram will do anything? Haven't tried there yet. I was given a phone # by Nathan Smith, but it does straight to voicemail...214-918-6142. Don't know if this is a real one or just another part of the scam. I've attached the photo that this Nathan Smith has for his ebay profile. Don't know if its really him or not. I'm getting ready to contact the Navy and see if they can help at all.

I have called the FBI and told how i was scammed and told him my story and gave his cell# and his screen name so they can track his IP address from his computer so they can catch him , The agent in charge told me he will make a report and they have more important things to do than chase a crook so i said what if he was saving the money from all of the people he riped off to do something like buy guns or explosives ore something he told me then they would deal with it when the time comes its nice to know that our TAX DOLLARS are hard at work

They did NOT ask me to send through Western Credit Union, to a foreign country or wire money into account like other common scams.
