Bill Osborn Mohave commuinty college Kingman,Az, Am a ex-con who moved out to this area to change my life, wanted to go to school out here filed for grants and student loans turned down 9/30/09 they said too long being discriminated by Mohave community college,turned down for student loan per the finanical aid took too long to repay student loan decision done on 9/30/09 Kingman, Arizona
Since being release from prison, I deceided to relocate to Bullhead city,az - once out of prison I filed for pell grant to go back to school,and since venture out here dealing with mohave community college here bullhead city I have been put through the wringer from these people. I did have an outstanding student loan which was deferred in April of 2009. Per financial aid Director one Bill Osborn, made a decision not to allow me to receive a student loan due to the fact that it took too long for a repayment and according to the school financial aid office in Kingman ,Az they stated that the board of education is backing them on this turn-down of me receiving a student loan their several people here who still have outstanding student loans and were approved to recieve one this semester. I have been feeling that the school out here has been discrimnating against one cause am Black two am a ex-con wanting to live a better life and not getting a fair chance in this state to do better in life it's like they rather for me to still be in prison haven't found a job waiting to see if i qualify for disablity claim is at adminstrated juge level case won't heard till may of 2010,am off parole in 26 days only receive food stamps to live each day since feb of this year. have alot of medical problems and still i can't get a student applied for other student loans but need a cosigner don't have that, pell grant funds is not enough to get me through this term which starts october 12, 2009 don't have transportation city transit stops at 8:30 in the evening, I live about 2in a half hour walk from the school i just belive that cause i took too long to repay a student loan is not a sufficient reason to deny me a student loan. i understand about the state being number for student loans defaults but thats not my problem, cause i didn't go to those tech school because they get all the money promising their students a job after they finish school and then there is no job to get, however if you can help me p-lease do and i thank you very much for your time.

Yes it is. Why would you expect to be offered another student loan after failing to abide by the terms of your previous student loan? This doesn't have anything to do with your race or criminal record. This has everything to do with your previous behavior with regard to student loans.
