Binder and Binder The worst company to work for. Long Island City , New York
I'm so tired of companies using the recession as an excuse to treat employees like trash. However Binder and Binder is a special case. I have worked there for exactly 1 year and 1 month. During that time I was increasingly unhappy. I was coming from a fortune 500 company where I was treated like a human being, to being treated like Im in jail for 40 hours per week. For starters the health insurance is ridiculously priced. The plans range from 150-190 Bi-weekly and that doesn't include Co-pay. The people that are employed at Binder and Binder were all recruits from welfare. The Supervisors and directors are all previous felons, and previous drug abusers. Harry Binder gets a tax write off for each and every one of these pervious felons that he gets from welfare. Most of the welfare recruits that he gets dont have high school diplomas. So the people who work as case workers are barely able to read and are incompetent. The employees exude horrible behavior; for example there was an employee that defecated on the bathroom floor instead of in the toilet. The employees also whip buggers on the bathroom wall. Also keep in mind the company is located in a very bad neighborhood in long Island city. We are located near a shelter. While walking to work you stand a chance of seeing prostitutes. Quit often while on my way to work I get harassed by winos, and random men.
As far as rules and regulations there are so many ridiculous ones that it makes m sick.
-No grace period, if your 1 minute late your docked
-They are not breaks, employee only get a 45 minute break.
-Youre not allowed the make a personal phone calls without permission.
- Binder and binder do not give references
- Vacation, sick and personal is not separated. Each employee gets about 11 days per year.
If you are a college graduate and looking for a decent company to work for, please dont apply at Binder and Binder. Its a well known name but it not classy or prestigious, it trash and ghetto. As far as having those firms represent you in a disability claim; please dont they cant do anything for you that you cant do for yourself. PLEASE STAY AWAY ITS NOT WORTH IT..YOU MAY LOOSE YOUR SOUL AND SANITY.
