Blayne Aina and Aina Media begged for the job three times before I hired them. He swore to be a "GURU" of anything I needed, and played on the fact that I was a Veteran and he served in the Marines so he would work hard for me. At the first meeting, he swore to all the things he could do and that it would take him a week. Two weeks later he said he couldn't do it with the particular software I had and that he could do it with custom software,a nd still be done in a week. 5 months later, his "CUSTOM" software was all opensource freeware crap that he couldn't get to work together on my site.
He called before Christmas crying about how he had no money to keep his phone and utilities on or finish shopping for his kids because he hasn't finished the site and couldn't get the final payment. He promised me Veteran to Veteran that if I could give him some money to keep his utilities on that he would work through Christmas to finish my site. I told him to enjoy Christmas, but that I trusted him and believed in family first. About a week after Christmas and hardly any additional movement on my site, he stopped logging on and stopped fixing all of his mistakes. I had to fire him and hire a new developer to finish the site, and they told me it looks like this guy never had a clue about what he was doing in the back end.
His server keeps getting shut down for being over capacity with resources, so I moved to my own dedicated server without him knowing and he still gave me excuses that he couldn't work because his server was acting up. When I told him that my site wasn't even on his server anymore, he started coming up with more excuses why he couldn't get things done. I finally fired him after finding much better developers.

You are a liar and a thief and you took advantage of me because I had money and you were unemployed living in a little apartment with your family and smoking pot all day. I should have known better, so shame on me, but I trusted you as a Veteran which you probably really never served. All of your sites are the same Joomla crap just recycled with a different template and color scheme, and you lacked any real developer or programming knowledge.
You assumed that this site could be built in a week and failed miserably for the next few months. We ran out of money because of you idiot, not because of us. You took too long and cost too much and never actually bought any of the licenses that you claimed you bought, you only got free trials and pocketed the money.
Blayne Aina and his wife Kristy are liars and cheats and lack any real talent. Whether you believe him or not, save your time and money and move on to the next developer that is guaranteed to posses way more skill and talent than these hacks do. There are thousands to choose from, but don't give this guy a chance like I did, no matter how much he begs for it.

I bent over backwards to help this guy and finished his site in a few weeks - he couldn't pay the remaining balance due (supposedly his "investors" ran out of money) but still wanted me to add more "bells & whistles" to the site - he gave me a sob story about his family "situation / issues" and that he'd bring me on as a "partner" if I continued working for him - I felt sorry for the guy but I don't work for free & wasn't interested in partnering w/ him - then he threatened me & said he'd "ruin my reputation" - I've a copy of the completed site & his emails + text messages between us to back up everything that I'm posting here.
I've built over a thousand sites for clients since 2004 - I've had three "bad apples" as clients and a former business partner (Armen Deravakian / akaspar.com) who burned me in 2006 - we've 300+ clients now and I'd be more than happy to send over / post their testimonials here anytime.
