In the terms of service, people are explicitly told that any vulgar reference to any bodily function or excretion, when speaking to another user, is a reportable violation of Terms of Service.

So what, you say?

If someone approaches you in-game and says anything to provoke you, and you say something back to that person, they can report you. Someone does this more than a few times, and you're booted from the World of Warcraft.

What's Blizzard's response? Verbatim, from their website:

"Two wrongs don't make a right."

That's right... "Go F yourself" is basically Blizzard's reply (as it seems to be so often these days).

They then programmed the act farting on other characters into the game, and THAT'S kosher... but to call the guy who farted on you an a*****e or a d****ebag can get you booted?! This company has gotten WAAAAY too arrogant for it's own good.

Summary: You can be booted for nothing more than telling someone who's harassing you to piss off.

Since when does "Two wrongs don't make a right" equal "Go F yourself"? Two wrongs DON'T make a right. Breaking the rules because someone else is breaking them (you can report people for harassment, you know) is generally not a good idea. Think about it this way. Little Jimmy is cranky because he hasn't had his nappy. He toddles over to Little Bobby and takes his toy blocks and s****.. It has ALWAYS been against Blizzard's rules in WoW to not allow profanity and vulgarity. You can't act like this is new or that they have only recently started enforcing it. Rules are rules. I assume you an adult, or a kid old enough that you should be able to control yourself and your mouth. Drop a brick on your foot in real life, most anybody would overlook a quick "d**n, that HURT!". Get annoyed by someone "/fart"ing at you in-game? You should have enough self-control to not type something against the rules. It doesn't just pop out of your fingers. Don't like the rules, don't agree to the ToS/Eula. Don't agree to them, don't play the game. I'd say it is pretty darn simple.
