Manager Dead or sick flowers, rude and abusive service Toronto Ontario
Flowers were delivered on time for my mother's 80th birthday. Arrangement looked lovely.
Problem: My sister reported that, on the day of delivery, at least one group of the flowers was compromised (rotten or dead, not being a botanist she
couldn't say). By the next day all the flowers had degenerated. Not wishing to hurt my feelings (???) my mother swore my sister to secrecy; I didn't hear about this situation until weeks later.
As soon as I found out, I phoned the shop at 416.532.8640 and at
1.800.314.1897. (Three times I phoned after business hours -- I'm in Calgary two hours behind) but I was once able to leave a message and explain my situation.
No one returned my call.
A week later, I was able to ring again during business hours -- and as soon as I explained that some of the flowers had been delivered dead, the male voice on the phone essentially called me a liar.
He said, "we don't sell dead flowers" and he told me he was going to hang up on me. There was no room for further explanation. As good as his word, he hung up.
I phoned back and was promptly hung up on again.
Twice.
And then I continued to ring with no answer. (Eventually the phone was lifted from the hook and laid aside.)
I also e-mailed the distribution company and, after 2 weeks, have heard no response.
My advice: don't throw your money away by using this colossally dreadful "service".
