In December of 2002, my wife and I purchased a sofa from Bo Concept. We decided to have it foam and feather like the cushions on the leather couch in the showroom. When the couch arrived in February, I informed Bo Concept of our displeasure with the couch, in particular the cushions. To date, I have been back to the store 3 times regarding our total displeasure of the foam/feather cushions on the sofa. The problem is that the cushions bottom out and loose their shape upon seating. Additionally, they are extremely uncomfortable!

When, I explained the problem to Sorin, his only suggestion was to fluff them up and that with time they would soften up. Because of our extreme displeasure of these cushions, we did some research as to why they would bottom out in such a manner, both online and with an expert cushion maker. All seem to state that the way in which they were made, was incorrect. Rather than mix foam and feathers together, the cushions should have a feather pouch sewn around a foam core.

On my last visit I realized that the couch we purchased is made by a different manufacturer than the leather couch, which happens to be made by Lind, which we were shown as the example for our couch cushions. Words can not explain how disappointed I am to find this out. Is this type of bait and switch tactic customary at Bo Concept? Additionally, this is not the first time this has happened to me at Bo Concept. I also ordered a solid wood bedroom set that was anything but!

Bo Concepts offer was to replace the cushions with the same crappy cushions we already hace. What a joke!

BTW - Bo Concept is nothing but a triple priced IKEA,

It's really funny that I came across this site. I had sent a complain to bo concept head quarters and never heard a reply. I was browsing the internet and came across this complaint. I too had a very similar experience. My boyfriend and i purchased a number of items the first being a sofa made by "lind". When it was delivered, the delivery guys from club8 ripped the bottom of the sofa. Not only did they rip it, but one of the men aparently cut his hand and bleed on the pillow. when i called the store owner that day his solution was to have some one patch it up. considering the fact that we paid $4000.00 cash up front, thiss ws not a suitable option for us. He was not willing to do anything else for us. In we recieved 2 night stand and a dresser. the night stands came with out legs, the color of the "wood" on the dresser and night stands did not match. They seemed to be made from 2 differnet types of "wood". To be honest, they were not even made form wood as we were told. Aside from that, His comment was that "sometimes wood takes time to fade and thats why the colors didnt match". i never in my life heard of such a thing. We also bought a bed which was not assembled correctly and it took them a good 2 months to come back to fix it. In the meantime, i was sleeping on a bed whith a matress falling through everytime i would sllep or sit on that side. what were we to do after spending thousands of dollars ina store that really didnt care to help, and thought WE were being unreasonable? Such a disaster!!! so to Richard in New York... I feel your pain!

Customer satisfaction

Customer satisfaction is very important for Boconcept. We will in the effort of satisfaction go too great lengths in order rectify any matter. Richard special ordered a sofa in terms of leather and configuration based on a model from the same manufacture featured in the showroom. A special order is in the furniture industry not possible to cancel since it is a customary piece build according to the customer's specifications. Boconcept have shortly after Richards concern with the product in order to satisfy him taken the sofa back for a refund. This solution was proposed by Richard and executed by Boconcept in order to rectify the matter. It is with great concern to see that Richard has not posted the agreed resolution to the matter. Boconcept is furthermore proud of the products offered and stand fully behind all of our products. We are therefore offering a warranty on all products purchased as well as a 30-day return policy on most products in order to secure the highest level of customer satisfaction. I will be happy to answer any concerns to this matter by email if needed. I can be reached at [email protected] Kind regards Boconcept of Livingston Moelholm,
