Read the attached letter to see what lengths some people will go to try and suppress bad publicity.

Information in the rebuttal above from Capt Lewis is not correct. They were offered an opportunity to resolve the situation, given the name of the marina the engine was at should they want to contact that marina, shown pictures of the issues including the incorrect documentation provided by them during the sale of the boat.
Please see the attached sceenshots.
Rather than trying to resolve the issue, Mr Lewis tries to inflate his ratings on google by adding his own 5 star review, and threatens a law suit and other attempts to suppress bad publicity.

Mrs. Marincus purchased a wholesale "as-is" very used boat in October of 2011. The sales agreement stipulates that the boat is sold "AS-IS" and was only subject to a sea trail for final approval - which was completed and passed with the clients approval and signed off by the client. There was no stipulation of a report. As a courtesy (after the sea
trail and sale was completed) one of our service technicians did issue a report that was run on the boat, but it was not a stipulation of the sale. I have no idea where the confusion is with the numbers that are in the complaint. I could
not prove that my service department provided the right report because we do not archive the reports from as-is sales.
I am not making any accusation, but it also cant be proved that we provided the wrong report because it would be
possible to get a report from somewhere else.
The boat was used for 6 full months before whatever issue they are having appeared.
The Boat house was not given an opportunity to review any reports or the engine and we really do not want the opportunity since this was an as is sale. There is no ambiguity in AS-IS
We never want a customer to be dissatisfied in any event and did offer to help, but Mrs. Marincus rejected our offers. We have rescinded any offer to help since they have made every effort to slander us and try us in the court of public opinion.
Please ask for a copy of their contract and you will see this is a matter of a consumer not taking responsibility for their actions to purchase an 8 year old used boat with no warranty.
