Bob Toto took my rare classic car and a large amount of my money as a good faith deposit to perform a total rotissiere restoration many years ago and now the car only sits in his storage bldg. torn apart with nothing but poor excuses.
The saddest part is the car was going to be a gift to my Dad before he passes away as it was his dream car too way before I ever got it.
Now I'll never get my money back and he will never finish my car as I he probably doesn't have the money, credibility with suppliers or the resources to ever get the work done. His credit is sh-t and judgements recorded against him in the county records say he only intended to screw everyone that trusts him.
So the moral to the story is don't trust or believe in him to deliver the goods.
He just lies and hopes you give him your hard earned money so he can continue his sad string of screwing decent people along his journey towards his final destination: hell.
I only hope he gets what he deserves while I can only count my losses and chalk it up to a bad experience and a lesson learned.
Don't make the same mistake. Find a reputable auto restorer.
