Robert D. Waller, Bob Waller Of Classic Auto Service I sent my dash and moldings from my 41 Mercury to be wood grained and they have not been returned. New Boston New Hampshire
I sent my dash and moldings from my 41 Mercury to Bob Waller at Classic Auto Services to be wood grained in October of 2007. He told me it would take 4 or 5 weeks to finish the job. Last November 2007 he emailed an invoice so I paid him $1685.00. He told me my parts were ready for final sanding and clear coating and he would ship them soon.
I have emailed him and called him since then getting different excuses. The last time I heard from him was last February 2008. I have tried calling him and emailing him but he will not respond to either.
He was written up in an article in Hemmings Classic Car in November 2004. I emailed Hemmings and explained what happened and they have sent him a letter requesting the return of my parts. I have also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and he has ignored them both.
I have contacted local authorities and their reply was "Unfortunately you entered into a civil agreement with this gentlemen and we do not get involved in civil agreements. This is not an uncommon complaint about Mr. Waller, however, in every case he has gotten the items back to their owners and the owners are happy with the work. He just takes forever to complete the work and never meets his deadlines."
I do not know what to do so I am trying to get the word out any way possible so others do not get stuck like I did.

I was at Bob Waller's shop on October 23, 2008 to check on my '41 Mercury interior parts. While there, I saw the parts for an early '41 Mercury coupe. Bill4d1merc (Wood Dale, IL) might want to get in touch with me, so I can tell him what I found on my visit. I am new to the Rip Off Report, so I do not know if you can get this message to Bill.
