Bonaventure Senior Living Thinking of placing your loved one in Asst Living; memory care or retirement? Stay away from Bonaventure! East Wenatchee, Washington
Seniors who may be looking for retirement housing and/or families of seniors who may be thinking of placing a loved in Asst. Living or Memory Care..... please, please beware of Bonaventure Senior Living on Sunset Hiway in East Wenatchee, WA. Please investigate before placement! Contact the State of Washington, ask to see their past and most recent state surveys! You will be shocked! This is NOT the place you want to put someone you care about! Yes, this is the same company based out of Salem, Oregon and the same company that has been reported on this same site. The state survey tells it all! The Administraor: tate of WA requires all facility Administrators/Executive Directors to have a degree in behavioral science and/or have taken formal classes/training to earn a degree/certification of credentials to be in this position...it has been uncovered by WA State Surveyors that the current acting Executive Director/Administrator does NOT have ANY credentials, formal Admin. training and or required certificates qualifying him to run a Boarding Home Licensed facility. The only credentials he has is a 'computer science certificate'....He has never worked with seniors. WA St. survey states he is out of state compliance with a number of personal health required issues aside from not have the proper credentials required by the state of WA. The facility has not even been open a full year and has gone through 4 Executive Directors/Administrators, 8 nurses, 5 Resident Care coordinators and has has 150%+ turnover in staffing! Facility has 205 rental Units and is still only 25% occupied.....would YOU want your loved one to be under the care of this company?? Sadly, this company is only about their bo$$om line not about the care of your loved ones! Don't be fooled by slick talk, promises and lovely furniture! Don't beleive this report? Then check out their latest Washington State Survey! It tells a very scarey story about this facility.

Hi I am an ex employee, I worked at the East Wenatchee Community for about a year and have moved on. This is a rebuttle. In Real Time, today, this year, now that report is not even close to be applicable. Great staff, food, directors, low turn over, happy residents beautiful community. When I worked there we had issues with an ex employee that took every advantage to disparage us. We had to threaten legal action to end it. This oringinal report sounds very familiar. Also please ask to look at the current state survey!!!!!!
Do yourself a favor go in, take a tour, meet the staff, talk to the residents and the awesome director. I bet you laugh at the previous article after you do. Good Luck! Save our Seniors!!!

To the person who wrote saying their parents lived at Bonaventure.... Are you KIDDING? First off, IF you REALLY have parents who live there (and you are not just a current executive writing a fake rebuttle trying to make it "look" like you are writing on behalf of your parents) you would absolutely KNOW that the facility is in NO WAY 80 % full...rather it is IN FACT about 30% (PERCENT full) that is about 45 units out of 204-205 ? units that are occupied! And as far as the Administrator not having Administrator credentials....HE DOES NOT have this certification...and it IS stated right in the Washington State Survey document! How can the place run without the required certification of the Admin? Easy....the out of town Regional Director is substituting her credentials & license to apease the State. She lives in Bellingham WA and is NOT on site.....something the State Inspectors would probably like to know.
So don't blow smoke. Everyone here knows that Bonaventure is a fraud, and can't keep employees...and is having trouble getting residents......do your REAL homework!

Okay so I was browsing the internet when I came to this "report." I started laughing because its the most outrageous thing I think I have ever read. Let me start by saying that my mother and father both live in that facility. Only 25% occupancy? Its not full but it has to be at least over 80% full by my guess. And if the Executive Director didn't have any training or certifications, do you REALLY think that a multi-million dollar company would just let that one go? No. The truth is, the Executive Director there is very very good at what they do and they have their license framed on the wall. My parents absolutely love it there, and its nice to know that they're in good hands. So I would have to say yes, please go check the place out if you're interested in moving in there, and not rely on this yahoo's so called "report" on the place. If and when you do, you'll see that its a lovely place for you or your loved ones to call home.
