I have been a loyal customer of Booksfree.com for 13 years. During that time I've had a couple of issues (who wouldn't?) that were quickly and satisfactorily resolved by customer service.
This company has saved me $100s, if not $1,000s of dollars because, much like Netflix, I RENT the books.
Obviously, you never read the details of the membership. You have to read and return your books to get more. Your membership level is based on the number of books you have checked out at any given time.
Your critique was uninformed and unfair.

At first, I thought that you post was asserting that you had, in fact, sent back your books, but Booksfree insisted that you hadn't. However, upon a second read, I realized that, though you were well aware of the fact that you were not getting new books, it wouldn't have occurred to you to send back the books you had unless Booksfree told you to. You signed up for a 2-book plan. That doesn't mean that you get two new books to keep each month. Netflix doesn't send reminders. Gamefly doesn't send reminders. This is the nature of rental services without due dates: you take responsibility to send items back when you're finished with them and are ready for the next batch. The monthly fee you pay is for the right to continue renting books each month. Whether or not you utilize it is up to you. A gym membership still charges you whether you show up to the gym this month or not.
