First of all, the check's a FAKE, it takes a few days to process so the Funds are made available by your bank.

(They count on this to make the theft work)

So when you either buy him a ticket (Refundable) or send cash(Western Union, untraceable) then all seems well, UNTIL the bank tells you the check's no good.

Now the "Customer" is nowhere to be found and YOU are stuck paying the bank the stolen cash (Plus fees, of course) and probably get your account closed, But He doesn't give a s**t, he's got your cash and you have no way to find him.

Now you understand how this particular scam works.
