brite white overcharged credit card by 87.13$ chicago, Illinois
Followed link on MSN news to trial teeth whitener and authorized $3 or $4 in shipping
contacted similar named companies one in Utah and one in pennsylvania when $87.13 charge appeared on my visa statement, no record of my transaction. Upon googling the shipping address, the trial kit (free) was shipped from a large residental apartment complex in Chicago, at 47 west polk Street, 400+ residental units. Numerous individual names at this address, apparently residents. I had my Visa card declared COMPROMISED, frozen account.
I think so far, that I have avoided having my pockets picked, but clever try. Scum scammers.

These slimbuckets often use ads that appear like news..but are nothing but a deception to make the offer seem legit. As you found out..it is anything but.
I hope the charges can be reversed. The banks will sometimes do this if whomever charged the account has a history of fraud reports...and these teeth whitening scams certainly do.
I hope others learn from this report..not only are these teeth whitening offers a scam..but almost ANY trial or free trial is a scam. Once you submit credit card information..even if you were misled to believing this was just for shipping..you actually authorized them to charge whatever they want to that is buried somewhere in the terms. Best bet is not to submit any bank information until you do an internet search for complaints against the company first. As you stated, it was a clever try..Yes it is clever..but it was not a try. They got you. Now YOU have to be inconvenienced to freeze the account...and hope no other charges show up. Not a good way to live. These scum can only be stopped if people stop voluntarily giving them authorization to charge the cards. This is accomplished by not giving them the card information for any reason no matter what they imply in the deceptive ads.
