I met him a grocery store with my son. He approached me and said he wanted to get to know me. We later hung out at all 3 of him homes that he does not own. He would always talk about money but later became pushy about his approach and how I didn’t like him as much because I would not invest with him. He asked me for $1000 to help with his sisters foster care business.
I said okay just pay me back he said he would. Because a big investor was investing in the business. He said he was paying me back but his sister lost her son. I did not really believe him but whatever. This was the day he was supposed to pay me back.
He slowly stopped messaging me every time I’d ask about repayment. I have 4 children and can’t believe I was so stupid. He paid 50 bucks here and there through cash app. He still owes over $700. He stopped responding to me and I figured it was time to go ahead and take matters seriously into my own hands.
I let him know I’m just going to take the matter to court. I’ve met with a family friend who is willing to do all this for free. So I’m not coming out of any more money.
