Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
Seller was out of stock of the server I wished to purchase but guranteed to have it up within 72 hours. Seller offered a temporary server AFTER the 72 hours with the promise that the correct server would replace it within the next couple days. Nearly two weeks went by and the server has not been replaced - the temporary server would have worked for a day or two, but it cannot withstand what I need to be running.

If seller does not "honor refunds," they apparently don't honor business ethics, either. Seller has denied me a refund and has demanded that I return the temporary server as a result of a paypal dispute filed when my server was not recived or a refund.

Seller has also made idle and seemingly random threats such as this: I will make sure you never get hosting from anyone now

To clarify some names, Jeremy, also known as "Gerolkae," is the owner of BSDLogic (T-Shells) and Oscar Bass, also known as "wink," is his business associate.

Do NOT buy from BSDLOGIC! They still have my money and server, paypal will not refund it becuase the server is 'intangible' which is not true.

We will be making no more responses to this site on this case matter. This is derogatory and demeaning to our business. Next time I advise you read the Terms of Service in full and you understand what they say and mean. Respectfully, BSD Logic Staff

I really appreciate your reply and trying to help the situation. No, I never ran IRCd, I'm sorry for the misunderstanding. I had root access (I recived it later then the server, in fact I had to hack my own server to get it.. the next day he gave me the root, but I already changed the pass he had.) He only moved my previous clients from cpanel to this servers cpanel. Nothing to do with IRCd, but irc is fully allowed. And yes the mail and everything was broken becuase of rDNS, one reason I had to do this dispute was becuase after several days of waiting for the server then after that waiting for the things they forgot one being rDNS, it was way past the guranteed time up, and my business lost many clients becuase of this company. I had to switch to an emergency server, and about the crude backup statement he was trying to be nice about. I only recived a link to that 2 days after he forcefully shutdown my server and kept my money. I was never able to download it becuase it was 403 status, and he refuses to talk to me. Making me think he just said that and put a fake one online to make him sound better. I lost many clients becuase he took my server without letting me finish my backup aswell. Thank You! To wink: I dont think I asked many mediocre things, I dont think the server shutting down every few hours and no one helping me is mediocre, and I dont think that rDNS is mediocre.

Anthony, did you have root on this box you got from the company? From what I'm reading it sounds like you didn't and if they aren't willing to help you, I have no idea how they expect you to be able to maintain it. Yes, an IRC server needs reverse DNS to run correctly, that is a well known fact. It's also needed if you expect to receive email from everyone. If it's not turned on, then your email to people may not be accepted by their ISP's email computers. Most these days require reverse DNS as the boxes are much more secure than the old days. The owner said he compiled your server for you. What IRCd were you using? Efnet, undernet, another lesser known one? Is there a reason he wouldn't let you set it up yourself? I don't understand why they had to compile and make it for you, that makes no sense to me. If you are knowledgeable enough to run an IRC server, you should be able to have root so you can care for it yourself, since this was to be a dedicated box. Were they aware you were planning on running an IRC server on this box? Many ISP's and resellers these days don't want the hassle of IRC, given how many script kiddies are out there doing DOS attacks on them. If they were, then I don't understand why they aren't willing to help you more getting it running correctly. There are companies out there that only charge about 10 bucks a month for a shell to run an IRC server from. (Although they may not let you have root and you will have to allow them to do some things for you.) 110 sounds extremely high to me if IRC is all you were planning on using it for. Even a busy server with 10,000 chatters on it will only take up about 10% of bandwidth on a full T-1. Check online and see if you can find one that's cheaper. Also join some IRC networks and talk to their server Admin and find out where they get their hosting from and how the service is before you decide to buy. Sometimes it's cheaper just to build your own box and find a local ISP willing to co-lo it for you off their existing T line.

When I signed up the seller agreed to switch over my clients he did not say it is normally charged at this so I took it as a company policy. I costantly complained becuase I never recived what I payed for, I was promised the following, as the paypal payment shows: P4 2.8 HT (Never Recived) 120GB HD (Never Recived) 512MB RAM (Never Recived) Fully Managed (Never Recived, noted 'contant complaining,' I dont find that full management to the extent I was offered it.) CPANEL (Recived) + Fantastico De Lux (Never Recived) 500GB Outgoing/ Unli. Incomming PREM BW (Never used it.) Moving of clients over, current server (Recived, seller complained about the hassle, after payment.) According to that, and the fact there TOS does not state "If a temporary server is put into place, we will not refund you." I dont see a reason why I was not granted my refund. The server parts may have been in order, this company was very organized, after having a server that shut down or restarted becuase my clients needed a better server, AFTER the MAX 72 hours, which I ended up waiting longer. After all of this happened I was still fine aslong as my server came in soon, even though I was quite annoyed at BSDLogic. I simply messaged him that my server was down again (the temporary one) and he told me, yelling, thats it, you have no more service. I decided I cant do this, sent a paypal dispute in. I then wanted to talk it out as it was a dispute not a claim, he refused to service me for what I payed for. So I raised it to claim for paypal to handle, at this point they supposidly held my payment (I never recived a dime). At this point Oscar Bass (Co-owner of BSDLogic) is yelling at me, threatening me, scaring me so much, I felt in fear of my life that he will come to my door and kill me, demanding access to the server, which I gave him and he took my server and he has my money. I lost $110 and I am still getting threats, I feel this is not at all a business way to act and think I deserve my money back after this hassle. The latest threat after I posted this rip-off report is this: prepare for a lawsuit you will not slander me or use my name on any site without expressed written permission i will be filling a class action suit against you in florida on monday Thank you for everyone that is supporting me, a major thing that needs to be done not in my case but for many cases is a class action against paypal forcing them to take there coverage over to the services "intangible" end. I apologize for my incorrect spelling as I am very terrified at this mans threats to me!

The said server was provided at a charge of 110.00 per month. Upgrades were in line and had been ordered through the data center and were awaiting arival of parts to replace old parts. The client's old server was backed up by me free of charge and transfered to the new server. I also personally setup the new sever and restored the backups free of charge. My usual fee is 50/hr for doing such a task. The client constantly complained and bugged me persistantly over mediocre things like reverse dns for a irc client. The client then got mad and reversed paypal funds in which he used to pay for server with. Once he did this I am in full right to revoke services from him as stated in our Terms of Service. So I did. After this the client threats and causes alot of havock within the company. I then made backups of his server and put them up on site for him to retrieve and proceeded to cancel his service as per his wishes. We do not offer refunds on dedicated servers after 24 hours of purchase as we rent them from a colocation company. Once we purchase the server from our colocation company we have 24 hours to decide to keep it or return with refund. We give the customer the same deal we get from the colocation. We did not rip you off, you made a conscious choice to leave on your own.
