If you want to keep the car, you don't have much legal ground to stand on unless you make that payment. Once you make the payment I think they won't bother you any more unless another payment is overdue. Everyone in the car business except the consumer would rather have money than cars. But a buy here pay here operation will gladly repo at the drop of a hat in order to sell the car again. Really you left them with the impression you were promising to pay on Saturday and didn't, so they're upset. If you had started out saying you couldn't pay until Monday (or some other definite late date), but would include the late fee, they probably would have said no problem. If you are going to pay in person it would be best not to drive the Neon there. If you show up in "their" car that may start a confrontation where they try to take it. Don't mess around with buy here pay here. Make all payments on time and keep proof that you did.
