BT Fredy Construction Fredinant Mamo ripoff contractor decks home improvement new jersey passaic bergen county Garfield New Jersey
This contractor sold to me on 5/8 and told me that I should expect it in less than 6 weeks. He got a permit and approval and started work on 6/20 and footings were approved 6/23. He said he would be finished by the end of next week, 6/30. To date the deck is erected...there are not supports under my stairs or under a room which was part of the contract. There are railings missing.
The wood is cracked and split and of very bad quality. He broke cinder blocks that were personal property of mine...I started with 25 and now I have 10. here is all the garbage from the job in my yard. He refuses to answer any of my calls. He also did the same thing to the people next door. He started there job in the midst of doing mine. In addition, he asked me to write the second check I gave him in his name instead of the business name. I didn't really think twice about it until after he stopped showing up. Then I looked into it and I believe he may be trying to evade taxes by doing this. I looked at the permit and he had the deck price at $3600 which is far less than our contracted price. 973-885-6210 is his cell phone but he lists his business phone as 973-546-3335.
This number is somebody who claims that she doesn't know anything about his business and refuses to be part of anything, though she does know Fredy. I don't know if he actually lives there or if he just uses her address to aviod people that he is ripping off. I am really not sure where to go from here. I am also going to file suit with small claims court. I want to do anything just to have this over with. It has been almost three months since this began. In addition, he is very rude and condescending to me. I am actually very afraid of him, he is very threatening without coming out and saying anything except that I should have respect and not talk to back to him, but it is just the way he says things and speaks to me.
He also basically said he didn't care if we had a contract because it didn't have a specific end date even though he orally agreed. The above was my BBB complaint. To date, 8/16, he has not done anymore...the last excuse was that he was in prison for not paying child support. An inspector came and he has so many violations it is unbelievable. He lied on the permit information. When I tried to reach him I called all different Mamo's in Bergen county and when I spoke to relatives of his they said he was scum and that they were getting constant calls to complain about him. I found out that he was arrested and convicted of beating his wife. This buy is all around horrible! Fredinant Mamo of bergen county NJ is a degenerate among degenerates.
