After the purchase of a 2003 Hundai Elantra, it was discovered by me...the buyer that the milage listed on the title and advertised was 7000 miles less than actual mileage.

Upon having this illegal act bought to the attention of the sales manager, and after some threats of going to court, the budget resales business in question agreed to supply floormats for a car that should have had them in the first placed and deduct about 400 dollars from the price paid in cash.

To this date, 8 July 2004, no carmats have been received and when question as to the whereabouts of floormats the ast Sales manager(Mark) became very unprofessional, and stated "we should be greatful for getting free mats and they really did not have to do anything because the car was already a sale, and engaged in verbal abusive lanquage and not wanting to slove the promised made to a cash paying customer. I will never again buy from Budget and recommend no one use their hard earned cash to purchase a vehicle from this dealership.

After the sell, they just don't care about the consumer as long as they have made there money. I will be filing a formal complaint against the Ast Sales manager -Mark, for his unnecessary comments and unprofessional attitude. He needs to be fired!! Please do not but from this person...if you do..remember I told you so!!

Odometer Disclosure Statement

#2Consumer Comment

Thu, July 08, 2004

Here in Tx when a vehicle is sold an odometer disclosure statement has to be filled out and sent to the state. I've heard where the mileage has been altered. The buyer has proved it and gotten the vehicle for free from the dealer. If it is a paper mistake that is one thing, if the mileage is altered you might have a legal case. You might consult an attorney to find out your options. Good luck.
