Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

i have had nothing but issues with this company. I've had my service with them since about February 2012. My first phone was a blackberry. The ball quit working, then the phone stopped working. It took me 2 months of arguing with the very rude people at my local budget mobile store to get my phone replaced. They replaced it with an android. I use my phone almost daily & spend money on extra minutes. One problem i have is my data has never worked when i pay for it. My next problem is i never get the free text. And last but not least, to my surprise, my account is inactive even though i have minutes, text, & i just used my phone to call someone less than 12 hours ago so it hasn't been 60 days. I'm very unimpressed with this company. The government pays for these phones and they are meant to work but it looks like people have more issues with them then they're worth. Something needs to be done.

Handling this all wrong

First of all, when you buy a phone, depending on the phone the warranty for it is usually only 90 days. Sometimes it can be a year if the phone was brand new when you bought it. So if your trying to get them to replace the phone after that amount of time, your in the wrong. They are not responsible for the phone after the warranty has ended and legally do not have to replace it.  Also when your phone quits working, you can call up SAFELINK and they will replace your phone for free! It may not be as nice as the one you had, but when they replaced mine, they did it quickly and without a lot of hassle. All they asked for was for me to send them my old phone (what did I care, it didn't work anyway, and they paid for the postage).

About your data and missing free texts: you should purchase your data from SAFELINK, not Budget Mobile. That way your buying it directly from the company that is supplying it, and not going thru a middle man. As for your missing free texts that complaint should also be addressed only with SAFELINK, as Budget Mobile has nothing to do with your free texts that SAFELINK supplies you with every month.

As for your inactive account that could be due to several things. 1) you used up all your minutes. You said you use your phone daily and might have used more than you realized.  2) You forgot to renew your phone. Every year I have to call a certain number (usually around Aug-Nov.) to keep phone active for the upcoming year. If you do not do this, SAFELINK will disconnect your phone. 3) If you have minutes & texts (did SAFELINK tell you this, or are you just guessing) or even if you don't have any minutes, SAFELINK is the company you need to call to get this straightened out, as Budget Mobile has nothing to do with disconnecting your service.

SAFELINK is the name of the company your service comes thru on the free government phones.   Almost every issue you have with your phone or service should be taken up with them. You can get ahold of them by dialing 611 from your phone. Yes, its that easy. They replace broken phones, will find out why you did not get your texts and replace them, activate your phone, etc. I have not had a problem that they didn't fix.

Out of your whole complaint the only part that has anything to do with Budget Mobile is the phone you purchased from them, which they did replace (probably long after the warranty expired).  So really you shouldn't have a complaint against them at all.

The company has nothing to do with Obama, but it is a program to help low income people to be connected by phone with others. This already demonstrates your bias which is irrelevant to your problem.

Also, you may need to elaborate your story a lot more in detail. It seems that there are many other things going on here. The problem could be from you, the people who serviced you, or the company. I understand that no one wants to take the blame, but at least write the whole story and let readers make their own decision.
