Please please read if you are looking to purchase a puppy!!!

I received a bulldog puppy from Bulldogs NYC as a surprise from my boyfriend. After the puppy's first vet visit, her fecal exam tested positive for giardia (an intestinal protozoan that an animal gets from eating it's own feces). The dog was immediately placed on a heavy course of antibiotics, and started having an awful cough which literally left her shriveling in pain. We then brought the puppy to a bulldog specialist in Long Island who showed immense concern and took some x-rays of the baby. The x-rays showed a genetic birth defect the puppy was suffering from, called hypo-plastic trachea, in which the poor dog's trachea was severely smaller than normal--a direct result of inbreeding or probably puppy milling. The specialist mandated that the dog be returned to the "breeder" as he said the puppy's death was inevitably going to result from this defect. The lost of our baby left me and my family completely heartbroken, and since I have done everything in my power to inform people of these terrible people. PLEASE DO NOT EVER THINK OF PURCHASING A PUPPY FROM THESE HORRIBLE AND INCOMPETENT MEN WHO CONSIDER THEMSELVES BREEDERS, PLEASE!

The jerks there continue to say that the dog was fine and the highly reputable specialist was incorrect about his diagnosis. THE X-RAYS SHOW THIS plain and clear and show that the dog clearly had this horrible problem. The poor workers there had to unfortunately bear the brunt of my animosity towards this terrible establishment, but the jerks probably get this all the time from former customers....

I agree. We unfortunately made the mistake and purchased a French Bulldog from this place. Less than 6 days later the puppy had to be hospitalized with an upper respiratory infection, and ear infection, and sever ab distention. Called them immediately and sent them over all the detailed paperwork and x rays as they said they need to present to their vet to verify. I also requested the information of their vet as the paperwork said the "supposed" shots she had at the vet but absolutely no information on the sheet. Not name of vet or location or anything all vets use on their documentation. This little trip cost us an additional $1000 which I think they are going to ignore me and not pay. Luckily, the state laws require that the breeder is responsible for any sickness of the puppy for up to 6 months and will be made to pay no more than double the cost of the pet. I have a lawyer lined up because I think it will come to this. Please, this is not what you want to be involved in. Advise all friends and relatives NOT to deal with BulldogsNYC. Please feel free to message me if you have a similar story and would like to join me in taking legal action.
