I received an e-mail asking if I was seeking a car loan. I filled out the form and today 3/13/09 I was contacted by Burlington Kia, the reps name was s**t. She indicated to me they received my application and I was approved at Burlington Kia.

I was told to bring my drivers License and 2 recent pay stubs for proof of my income and identity... I was in the middle of a meeting so I was unable to ask her some questions I had. 10 Minutes later I called her and left her a Voicemail indicating I had some questions. Burlington Kia.

1 Hour later I received a call from a Shane or Sean telling me s**t asked him to get back to me to answer my questions. I asked him if they had any Chrysler 300's he asked me to hold while he checked, 2 minutes later he came back and told me they have 5 on their lot. I asked him the price ranges and again was put on hold. Burlington Kia.

After a few minutes he returned once again with a range. I then wanted to know a bit about these 5 300's that they had on their lot, he indicated to me that he would have a sales person get back to me in 10 minutes.. 10 minutes lapsed then 1 hour so I decided to call and speak to a sales rep. Burlington Kia.

I was given the run around and finally spoke to a Kia rep who confirmed they had this type of used car I was seeking but stated it would be best to come in and choose from their inventory.. I left work and drove 45 minutes to Burlington only to enter their lot and find not even 1 Chrysler 300. Burlington Kia.

I went in to speak with a salesmen who said they only had 1 a week ago that he knew of and that one was sold.. It was not the salesman's fault I was brought in under false promises so I decided to take him up on the offer to go to the VW lot and see if there were any vehicles I liked. Burlington Kia.

I found 2 and decided which one I wanted. I told him to call s**t to get my pre approval and he stated that he already looked me up and there was no pre approval. He also stated that when s**t or anyone from her department contacts a potential client it understood that when they come in they need to be approved. Burlington Kia.

So not only was I told they had the vehicle I was looking for and drove 45 minutes to find it was not so. but my so called pre approval was a false tactic to get me in the door.. I will be contacting the department of consumer affairs as well as the attorney generals office.

I hope this report saves people from the scam of Bait and Switch.. I am a pretty savvy business women, that is why I called back several times to get the information I needed. They knew just what to tell me to get me in the door. Sorry Burlington Kia I am to Savvy to fall for your Scam. This is not the last you will be hearing about this. Burlington Kia.

I must admit I had some misgivings about buying a car from this dealership due to this report, but it was one of the few Kia dealerships in the area I had access to and they had a vehicle I wanted. The person making the complaint obviously has some issues. I work in the court system and saw nothing amiss in my purchase. I was treated in a professional manner with no hassles. The saying that all dogs have fleas is not completely untrue but as I have seen between attorneys and their clients both can be unreasonable at times. It's too bad in this case that this website was unable to give the complainant a saliva test. There wasn't a single thing this dealership did that I could perceive in the slightest that was wrong.-Bruce in Howell.

Miss we can appreciate you being an astute business woman and not falling for their tactics... but please understand what the work "PRE" approved means mean before you where approved also to drive 45 mins for a PRE" approval must mean you are a credit criminal... We are not on the side of an automobile dealer but we are on the side of common sense and for such a savvy business person you sound a lot like a person who has been declined by many car dealerships with a name like Kerbecksucks and it just so happens that Kerbeck is a card dealership also people don't listen to this person she is a typical person who just think every car dealer is out to get her. Sometimes car dealers are wrong but I think this time this is a bit of a fabrication.
