Buyrite - Buy-rite Furniture Ripoff, Parts missing, store personnel not helpful, still don't have right parts! Wilmington North Carolina
I bought a china cabinet and they charged me $65 to take it to my house. I found out other furniture companies charged $25. When I got the cabinet 2 glass shelves and 2 knobs were missing along with the screws to screw them in the drawers and door.
I went back to the store and got 1 shelf. They told me to come back in 2 weeks and I could get the other shelf. I went back to get the shelf and was told I could get it the next day along with the screws and knobs. I have to make a 40 mile round trip each time.
I went back the next day and got the shelf but they couldn't find the knobs. The salesman told me to go to the hardware store and buy 2 and bring him the bill. I told him to go get 2 off the other one in the store and give them to me and he could go to the hardware store. He said that wouldn't be fair to the next customer. I enformed him they were not fair to me and if he didn't go get me the 2 knobs I was going to call my husband and the police and get it straight.
He told me I was nasty and I told him I had made 4 trips (40 miles each time) and if he thought I was nasty then I would get my husband to come take care of it. He then told me it was the person that took it to my house's fault. I told him the guy that bought it was one of their employees and I don't care whose fault it was I wanted the parts to my cabinet.
I finally got the knobs and when I got home they had given me short screws. My husband said forget it he would go buy me the right size but I do not think they should get away with this kind of action.
