Cabinet City Price not worth the headache! Pasadena California
Cabinet City is a huge ripoff. Dean, the owner, is as sweet as pie when you enter the showroom. Everything is promised and easy to do within weeks. He talks about the good prices he can offer, but ask for 1/2 up front so that he can get the job done and how he will be sending his BEST crew. I started my process in November 2007. He finally came in December to get the job started. When the cabinets came (after several calls to the office), he sends out his crew. They arrive at 3pm. Work until about 10pm and installed cabinets wrong. Doors were upside down and glass doors were installed on lower cabinets (what the heck?). Even my 14 year old could see it was wrong. The pantry that was ordered was smaller than what I paid for. His explanation was that after measuring it was better to put in the smaller cabinet for balance. I didn't receive a reimbursement for that. The trash cabinet was installed incorrectly. It is now the end of June, and I am still waiting for 4 handles on the cabinets. The trash can cabinet was corrected but the same door was installed which already had drill holes in the wrong place for a pull out drawer. When you do manage to get the drawer pulled out by gripping the sides (cause there is no handle yet), it is so tight that I think I am going to rip off the front of it. I have also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. He has received all his money, still waiting for corrections. The discount I got when compared to other companies is NOT worth the headache I have had STILL trying to get this job fixed and completed. Stay away from this company. Bad news all around.
