A few days ago I ordered a pizza from Cafe Verdi. It wasn't any kind of complicated order... just a pepperoni pizza. I paid over the phone with my debit card which I sometimes do when I order out.

Well, the pizza took about an hour and a half to get to my place, and by the time it got here it was cold and nasty. So of course I did not write anything in the tip part of the receipt when I had to sign it. (because I paid with my debit card)

I called Cafe Verdi and complained, and they told me they could make me a new pizza, but I had to return the one that was just delivered. I told them I didn't want a new pizza,(by this time is was already 1:30 am and I didn't want to wait up for another hour and a half) I wanted my money back. They said I would have to call back and speak to the manager.

When speaking to the manager, she said that there was no problem crediting my account back, but she asked why if I was unsatisifed, I left the guy a $5.00 tip. I was like "WHAT!?" I didn't tip the guy. The delivery guy STOLE money from my bank account. He filled in a tip for himself AFTER I had signed the receipt only authorizing the amount for the pizza... NO TIP WAS EVER AUTHORIZED!

The money has already cleared my bank account, so I have filed a dispute with my bank, and the manager of Cafe Verdi is working to find out who the delivery guy was. As soon as that money is credited back to my account, I will be calling the Las Vegas police and filing charges.

Some people may be like "Oh, it's only $5" blah blah blah...but you know what? It was MY $5.00, and I don't like being ripped off or taken advantage of or having what's mine STOLEN!

He stole your money, call the cops and have the delivery boy arrested

You really have two different things here, your dispute with the pizza company (Probably easily resolved Monday) and a Petty Theft by the delivery boy. Time to call the police, have the delivery boy arrested for theft, I'll bet this is not the only time he's written himself a tip. To prevent this in the future, simply draw a diagonal line through the area where it shows a tip amount, then a later write-in is obvious.
