CAL-ARK PUTTING FALSE INFORMATION ON MY DAC REPORT MABLEVILLE Arkansas
When i quit at Cal-ark I turned the truck in at tha Laredo Texas terminal. They put on my dac that I left the truck at an unauthorized location and I was late with pickups and deliveries. What they don't say is that I was being dispatched a 1 to 1 1/2 days late and still expected me to deliver on time. I don't run illegal for no one. Now im having trouble getting another job. Because of what they said I could not be cleared by another trucking company. Why is it that a company can say what ever they want and another company will believe that and not what the person says.

Mr. Warren...if you or any driver has a comment about what is placed on your DAC by a motor carrier you can call HIRE RIGHT/DAC Services at 866-521-6995 and request that HIRE RIGHT/DAC Services contact the employer for justificaiton for the entry on your DAC. HIRE RIGHT/DAC SERVICES will request that the motor carrier provide justification for their entry and will record your side of the story for the record.

Although one has the right to submit their side of the story to DAC, this seldom ever gets anything accomplished. All the rights concerning DAC reporting are in favor of the company. What is taking place is not what the USIS was established to do. We are working to bring about change to this abusive DAC reporting services. Call Cal-Ark at 888-422-5275 and ask for DeRonda. She can fix it. Companies can go back and edit your DAC or USIS.

Did you pre-arrange with Cal-Ark where you were going to leave the unit, or did you just decide this on your own? That will be a very important distinction. Leaving the truck at an "unauthorized location" in and of itself should not be a deal breaker when looking for another job. Now an "abandonment" is another story. That could be a death knell. I don't blame you for not wanting to run illegal, especially nowadays. I don't and won't. You can also dispute what is on your DAC report. I believe the name of the company is now USIS. Do a search for it and it will tell you how you can dispute what is on your report. Don't let Cal-Ark get away with it if you are truly in the right. Good luck!
