My husband and I have called the company, Cal Spas (Lynnwood, WA) and Cal Ventures in (California) over 12 times trying to get service on our brand new spa. We paid it off and then no service. We have been sworn at, called liars, told "I'll call you right back" (at least 10 times by at least 6 different people). They promise during the sales pitch a spa pump like no other. "it will last a "lifetime and longer". Four months new this $6,300.00 spa breaks and it's this super great indestructable pump that is broke in half!!!

They promised service at least 10 times. We bought and used the spa for medicinal purposes. We are so under stress and have been suffering for almost 2 months!! Still no telephone calls back. No one can tell us where our pump is. They did finally come pick up the pump but left with it and never called back the next day as promised. My husband has called them everyday leaving a message to please call us back and give us an E.T.A. of when our pump will be replaced or fixed. No one will call! The owner Jim of Cal Spas is the one who swore at me and called us "liars". I had to have the finance company manager call the owner back and get us our promised 6 months same as cash. The salesman promised us this but we got a bill for the entire spa due within 30 days!!! I was so upset and shocked at being cussed at by the owner that the manager of G.E. Finance had to mediate to get the promised terms. The owner Jim even called my husband a "liar". This is unbelievable. It's a nightmare. We have longed for a hot tub spa for a long time and couldn't really afford it but I am in so much pain that I needed it for my back and joint sever pain. I can hardly move without it. Now I'm suffering and my husband is suffering as he has a bad back too plus sleep problems. Now they are worse because he can't sleep as he's so stressed out about getting ripped off by this spa company. Our brother in-law worked for a couple different Spa companies and states that once your spa is paid for in full, which ours is, you won't ever see any customer service. That's how the spa companies work! Well this is proving to be true as we haven't had use of our spa for almost two months. As I am writing this my husband was just demeaned on the telphone by one of the servicemen at Cal Spas. We, in the last 24 hours have been told by 3 people that they will "call us right back". We right now are still waiting for yet another call that won't come! We want our money back and the spa picked up. These people will NEVER take good care of us. They have proved this to be the case. Imagine a lifetime of having to go through this! No WAY! We need HELP! We can't deal with a company and a store mangager this bad! Even the customer Service line broke their promises to call "right back" in a few minutes! Unbelievable! HELP US! We are both beyond our wits end! Finally about the first of May, some guy from Cal Ventures in Lynnwood came and put the pump in (the one that is suppose to be indestructable). This is not to retract how badly we were treated by the Lynnwood store owner. That stands. We were without use of our spa for 2 months and needed it for health reasons. We can't regain lost sleep or take away the stress it caused. We are very concerned that if anything ever breaks again on our spa that we will go through months of the runaround by both the California office and the Lynnwood store where we bought the spa. Even when trying to order a new pump an employee of the Lynnwood store made a smart mouthed and disrespectful remark to me. As far as we are concerned the Lynnwood store should reimburse us for the time our spa was down and the water bill and the chemicals we had to replace. Did they offer a thing? NO! So buyer beware! Thanks to my Rip-off Report reporting through badbusinessbureau.com! Because of your service at least we got an apology from the head office. However, it really should of come from the Lynnwood store owner and something offered. Case closed for now. Let's hope our spa never breaks! Thanks again!

California Acrylic Industries will not tolerate such business ethics and will address this issue with Cal Ventures to ensure this wont happen again. Though California Acrylic Industries business relationship with the dealer is only that they sell the product of which we manufacture as the dealer is independantly owned, California Acrylic Industries stands behind the product of which we build. Unfortunately I cannot address the issue of whom the consumer spoke to here at California Acrylic Industries as I dont know who the customer is. If Kathy or Ryan could please contact so that I may clear this issue up immediately and let them enjoy their purchase instead of losing many sleepless nights I would greatly appreciate it.
