It is a shame to see big box store policies ruining a family owned business. But that is exactly what has happened when Big Corporate Caliber moved into town. Run,dont walk from these characters. After having my vehicle sit for 9 days without getting an estimate I receive a call that their corporate policy won't allow them to repair my vehicle. They blamed it on my insurance company even though my insurance company is no longer involved.
100% Bullsh*t that has not only cost me 9 days rental and counting but now I need to pay another tow fee to have it brought to the shop I should have taken it to in the first place; A family owned business with people who care. I feel bad for Paul the shop manager who explained to me his hands were tied and Caliber would not permit the work to be done. Another family shop ruined by money hungry corporate hucksters.
This was a repair to be made and paid for directly between me and the body shop. They are using the insurance company as an escape clause. You would think that after sitting for nine days without getting an estimate they would at least agree to pay for the tow.
