CAMCO ripoff rude and abusive Steven Smith and Rob Stein, called 20 times one day abused & mistreated Rockford Illinois
I got a call out of nowhere telling me I owe money from an account I never herd of. They offer no proof or help.
Rob and later Steven of Camco got abusive when I asked for proof and stated that they do not need to prove anything but that I need to prove I do not owe the money. They threatened me that if I did not pay them right then and there, $1800.00, they would report $8901.85 on my credit report. They faxed me a letter of settlement at 8:43pm and it states that they must have the check the same day.
They then lowered the amount to $1300.00 but now deny making that statement. One would think it was a mistake but I clearified the change over the phone when it was made. They called my house 20 times one day and have called up to 8:59pm.
They are rude, offer no help and cannot even tell me where the claim came from. They keep stating Wells Fargo when I have never had a loan from Wells Fargo. Then the story changes to First Interstate Bank. Well, what is it. Oh, they do not know and that is not their problem, "pay or your credit will be in danger."
They claim that the original credit was written off in 1992. They claim that they do not know when the original loan took place but it was in the 1980's. How can they know that but not know when it happened. I have also not lived in California for 15 years so if the loan has any valid claims, it was from over 15 years ago. I know I do not owe anyone $9,000. How can these people be allowed to use such abusive tactics. I say prove it and I will pay or get lost.
