"Sean" - the nice one - tried calling me again today. I told him he needs to stop calling me. He said he was calling with a second settlement offer for me and seemed surprised I didn't want to hear the details. I told him that I'd been doing some digging on his company on the internet and found out lots of great info, and he freaked out. He said that the internet is a terrible place and that there is a lot of horrible information out there about everyone, and that if I were to research "even your current employer" that I would find plenty of horrible negative incorrect information. I laughed and told him that if they called me again I would sue them and win, and then I told him how exciting this all is and how I'm really going to enjoy suing them. Then I hung up on him. I wonder if he'll call again?

In your state you must let them know they are being taped before you do so. IT is nearly impossible to sue unless you have some proof and many attorneys, even knowing about camcos reputation, will not take the case. Say something like 'all calls may be recorded' at the beginning. Find my post for personal free help.

I'd love to sue them if it won't cost me more than I can hope to recover. Also I am in CA and they are in IL - does that matter? I would really appreciate someone telling me how to sue them - and of course it would be useful to everyone reading here as well. Thanks in advance!

The names they used on me were Sean Edwards (the first guy, almost soft spoken) and Mario Holmes, the nasty one who came on the line after I said this was ridiculous. It's funny that you say they make it hard to work there if you're black because both of these guys definitely sounded black. (I know I run the risk of being called racist but it's true.) Oh and what's the fdcpa? Has anyone had any luck bringing action against them?

LOL. He musta changed his name. This is undoubtable Mario Bianchi who is the biggest law breaker at camco. He trains the collectors on how to destroy the fdcpa and make more scam money. I have many emails about him from employees and the stories are both ludicrous and downright frightening if you are a female employee there(and african american even worse).
