Sent my Canon G12 $450 camera to camerasandparts.com for repair.  The sensor had apparently quit.  4 days later, the nice man calls and says that they've evaluated the problem and the $89 fee will cover the repair.  He also sold me two new batteries (good salesman).  My total bill was over $150.  He said that my camera would be back in about 3 weeks.

Well, it's been over 3 months.  They will not answer the phone or return phone calls unless you lie and say that you inquiring about camera repair.  They will not answer emails.  Basically, they have my camera and that's that.

I checked with BBB.  Many complaints similar to mine.  I filed my own complaint.  BBB informed me that they hae never responded to them about my complaint.

I was able to get my $150+ dollars back by complaining to my credit card company.  The company extracts the money from the vendor's bank and credited my account.  I never expect to see my camera again.  My opinion is that I was scammed from the beginning.  Tread with caution.

If they want to repair my camera and return it to me, I'll happily (and promptly) re-pay their fee.  Dont think that's ever going to happen, though.  They have my $450 camera.  Why would they do anything to get my $150 fee for their service.
