Our relationship with Cameron's Home and Commercial Restoration started well. In fact, we had very high hopes for this company just because of their timeliness in the pre- stages. Mr. Randolph was always timely with getting estimates back, returning phone calls and willing to meet with us. This was refreshing as my husband and I had previously been taken by another contractor who left us with a home totally uninhabitable. Unfortunately, it was not long after signing the contract that we realized that maybe we had made a mistake, however, we tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and not project our feelings of mistrust and anger from the prior contractor on Cameron's.
So we continued and after over two years of our home being vacant within a week of them starting we not only had one, but two break-ins with specific things being targeted. We suspected it was an inside job and even the police who took our report suspected the same thing, but could not confirm, thus unable to press charges. Our red flag radar was off the chart, but for some dumb reason, we gave them another chance.....wrong move! We have had continuous issues from work being done improperly, i.e. Mold Remediation, waterproofing, installation of insulation, electrical, etc, to disrespectful workers and owners. There was never, and mean never proper supervision of people which lead to drinking on the job, a new crew seemingly everyday (Day Labourers), broken personal property, vents and wood floors damaged because they were not coverd from all the dust (saw and drywall), which will cost $$$ to fix, and a host of other problems, including hot water heaters not properly vented causing a back up of carbon monoxide to fill the house.
If you are thinking about hiring this company or anyone associated with them, even if referred, don't trust the hype. They were referred to us by our broker, who was doing our 203K loan, but now realize that even the broker was hard pressed and a little on the shady side. We now have to tear out drywall, go through another mold remediation, re-run plumbing lines,( for reasons including but not limited to hot water comes out of the cold side and cold comes from the hot and my toliet fills, toliet flanges to low and wont line up with tile, improper spacing so fixtures won't fit), properly vent the water heaters, and the list goes on!
RUN AWAY AT ALL COST, because if you don't IT WILL COST YOU MORE IN THE END!
