I would like to respond to this unfortunate incident Jon experienced with Canadiana Flowers. It is not our intention to dissapoint nor upset any of our customers at any time. We did attempt delivery to the address as requested and returned on 2 occasions for redelivery on Valentines day (the single most busiest day for all flower shops) No one answered the door and YES we did leave a delivery tag at the door. When the customer called I was unable to locate his order immediately and nor could I check on the status of the delivery immediately because of the huge volume of deliveries that occured this day. When I did respond to the customer I informed him that we attempted on 2 times a delivery to the requested address. This was the most times we could attempt a delivery on such a busy holiday; especially when we have over 1000 other parcels on the go! We can not leave flowers outside on such a cold day for delivery either We attempted to make ammends with this gentleman although he seems to want to 'bad mouth' a company that has been in business for over 30 years, winning countless awards and recognition accross Toronto and Canada. We have been voted at Toronto's Best Florist for 4 years now, this does not come about by 'consumers' votes by dissapointing them! I am not saying we are perfect, but we do strive to be and when things don't go as well as they should, we try to fix them! There was no ability to fix this individuals problems and so we offered his money back on the cost of the flowers; delivery was attempted, a cost we incurred and must pass onto the customer, If he thinks this is unfair, well, we are sorry. On another note: I think this is a good community service to all consumers and business owners. Although, I believe that this type of web site can lead to 'slamming' good companies and businesses and this is were I feel that the onus is upon the owners of this web site to be wary of some of these complaints. Some times they are not justified such as the one Canadiana Flowers recieved. Another individual just mentioned that this report was on the web to me, we were not even notified of such and this I do not think is fair, without the ability to respond to an individuals complaint/report within a reasonable amount of time!
