Capital Choice Consumer Credit got me too
I received a credit card offer with a $5,000 limit and only a $39.00 deposit was required. Having some bad marks on my credit report, I do not receive many credit card offers, so I thought this one looked legitimate and sent in my money. They proceede to cash the check, and I never received a credit card. I was counting on that credit to help funding of my new business, and had to cancel a business trip to Italy and delay it for a few months. I called 800 information and they do indeed have a number, I called it, and got a lengthy menu, asking me to enter my validation number. Sure enough, it said I was getting a $5000.00 credit limit, but when I entered "0" to talk to a customer service rep, was told that I could not speak to someone until I received my credit card. This is when I was clued in to the "scam." I am going to report them to the better business bureau and try to get my money back. The worst part is the expectation of having the credit, and cancelling near future plans. Let's put an end to this fraud! Is there any help or advice you can give me?
