Capital Credit Alliance, CCA Money For Nothing And fee's for free! Las Vegas Nevada
I also have fallen prey to these scam artists. I paid the $199.95 membership fee and placed an order over the phone shortly after the card arrived (approximately 60 days later). The woman took the order but gave no confirmation # nor did I receive confirmation by mail. After a few weeks I decided that maybe this company was a scam after all and tried to contact them to cancel my order and membership.
This was futile, I called the customer service # at various times of the day and night over a period of 2 weeks but could never get anyone on the line. (They were probably busy riping off other people at the time). After my account was active for 2 months, I noticed that $99.00(CCA's annual fee) had been electronically transferred from my checking account. This was not authorized by me. I went to my bank and they had the transaction reversed but I'm still concerned about unauthorized transactions by CCA(I will be changing my account shortly).
I still am receiving bills for $134.00 from CCA for this fee that they were unable to get from my account. I will attempt to cancel the account but I don't want this outstanding (and bogus) account balance to continue to affect my credit. I'm not sending these people another cent.
