Any bank can tell a repoe company anything, I do not feel sorry for the repoe people, they abuse people. If a bank or a finance company lies to just repoe your car this is stealing. A) Repo man is doing his job. B) The car is the bank's property until it is paid off, thus if there is a default in payment arrangements, the car will be taken. Period.

These banks got the bailout so they still can loan you money. If not, your credit limit will be smaller, interest highter, then you wouldnt be able to meet 2 ends. Now, our taxpayers money, my money, your money is covering for crooks like the original poster. The above mentioned crook, tried to fraud the bank, by keeping the property and hiding away form his/her obligations. Now all of us (US govrn) pays for it. What is your excuse? Disabled man???? Got the parking sticker, parking OK???? I have stepped on a land mine( imagine my disability), and I never asked for any assistance... Jeezz, you got balls to come here and complain. People, would you stop reffering yoursef as SINGLE WOMAN WITH 2 KIDS, DISABLED, SO OLD...and so on... adopt your self to your education level, bodly condition, and you will be ok.

Why do these banks deserve a bail out, we are the truly ones who deserve a bail out but then again we don't matter. We the consumers are the ones suffering & these banks get bailouts & insurance companies. That Is what we get for voting for republican they don't give a rats a*s about the poor or middle class people, we all have lost something under republican rule because of the jobs situation & economy situation. People are losing there jobs & these creditors have the nerve to tell people its there fault they can't keep up there finances well who can during this economy turmoil.

I'm pretty sure the banks are being bailed out because so many people like this that they've loaned money but can't pay them back. . .That is their idiotic mistake and I think its stupid that our goverment allows banks to lend to people with horrible credit . Obviously you are not capable of paying your debts on time so yu should learn to buy things cash. But no, lets give someone a 25% int. rate which they are already set for failure. Take someone that obviously can't handle their own finances the option to finance something they want at a high int. rate. real smart. Way to go america . lets screw our own people over rather than help them. I can go on for days with this sorry.

It's interesting to note that alot of these banks getting a nice bailout package and at a time before they go bankrupt. Yet, here we have a truly needy individual who couldn't be more deserving a bailout, being dumped on the side of the road because of their unfortunate circumstance. When government can bailout these banks but ignore the folks who truly have a need, this country is becoming a prison controlled by the rich. It's a sickening downward spiral, this country is going. It's even more ridiculous that you have people actually defending the banks! At this point, the banks are the enemies. If people are too ignorant to see that, then they are too ignorant to care about the disabled or even the military veterans. In fact, people that stick up for the banks bleed green and are as antiamerican as they come. If this person deserves to lose their car, then these banks do not deserve a a bailout. End of story.

But will all the crooks who work @ banks forget it they will go to jail just like how these mortage people are going to jail for doing this stuff.

never finance a car again

Hey, it stinks but if you do not make the payments then they have to take the car. The reason why you were not notified was because some people who do not pay car payments and are given aheads up will then hide the car from the repo people. The reason why the repo people came at midnight was to try to avoid a confrontation. There are people who try to do harm to repo people who are just trying to do their job. I know of repo people who have had guns pulled on them. My advice is to not finance a car again. Pay cash, you might not get as nice of a car as you would like but it would be pay for and you will not have to worry about getting it repoed.

Not a ripoff

Kenneth, I am sorry to read of your financial situation. I have had credit issues in the past and know first hand how disruptive it is to be hounded by creditors. However, I do understand that they want the money agreed upon and owed to them. When you changed your phone number it made it impossible for them to speak directly to you. Since you apparently were not sending any money they had no other choice but to take back the car. As far as them not giving you a warning, what did you expect. If they told you they were going to take the car back (they could not since you changed the number) then you probably would have been careful about where you parked your car so that they could not take it. While it is a sad situation, and I am sorry that it is happening to you, this is not a ripoff. You owed them the money. If anyone was getting ripped off, it was them while you were not paying the bill.
