I was contacted by Capital Vacation otherwise known as Bill Brown travel. Although they did not say what their aka was. The offer was free travel package if I check out their membership for one month for free and afterward it is 19.00 something per month.

They asked for my bank account info to verify if I indeed had employment and a bank account. I declined giving them the account info until I checked out their company with the BBB. I asked to speak with the manager and he claimed that in 30 years service they have only had 4 negative complaints. Yeah, right! The BBB in Clearwater Florida said that they have a negative pattern of bad sales practice and the list goes on. They claim a website, but it was under capitolvacation.biz, rather than capital with an a. This website is no longer there.

The 888 number that they give you takes you to automated voice that tries to get you to again put in your bank acount number. Don't go there! In other words, these people do NOT want you to contact them! People, please do not ever give account information over the phone. Never respond to a pitch of, "make your decision today or we will not be able to bring you this promotion again." Don't believe it!!! They can and they will if they are legit. Matter of fact, they can make their one time sign up fees different with each person. They offered me 150.00 one time sign up fee where others have been given different numbers.

They operate in different counties. For example, They are really based in St. Pettersburg and usually will have a business licence there but will do sales from clearwater on Ulmerton Rd. in order to throw people off as to locating them. Are we tired of fraudulant sales pitches yet? Follow up on these claims and call them on it! Always ask for their address and zip in order to contact the BBB and take down names and extension numbers! The BBB will not be able to dirrect you unless you have a zip.

Regards, One housewife tired of scams.

Not a scam - you got a bad agent or were given poor information.

Ma'am I can assure it is absolutely NOT a rip off, you must have been given misinformation by a poorly guided customer service agent. The site was later changed because of the incorrect spelling and new employees were continuously given the old information and were not informed when the new site was put up. The branch you SHOULD have been transferred to was the St. Louis office. I'm sorry you were sent to the wrong place or given a very poor agent. I wanted to make sure you were well aware that is -not- a "Scam" or rip off of any kind, all business dealings they do are legit and have a team of accountants to back up every financial dealing they do. Sorry you had troubles.
